Our Young Generation Board recently met in Berlin to exchange ideas. This project team was set up so that the perspectives and viewpoints of the younger generation could be shared with the management team and considered for current and future decisions. Through this, current topics and trends have been developed and a transregional exchange scheme for young managers has been promoted.
The Young Generation Board therefore functions as a bridge between the Operations Steering Committee and Apleona's «Next Leaders Generation». It has demonstrated how proven experience can work together with fresh impetus, innovative solutions and creative out-of-the-box thinking.
Board composition and Swiss representation
Every two years, the members of the Young Generation Board change: six people sit on it, with four representing each region in Germany and one person each from Austria and Switzerland. Colleagues come together twice a year for two days for the purpose of discussing a project that has been chosen by the Operations Steering Committee.
Switzerland was represented by Julia Zihlmann, a CoC project manager. She works together with five colleagues on various projects, ensuring that Swiss interests are taken into account.
Current projects
Current projects are looking into onboarding and the management of knowledge. Since there is still potential to optimise the current onboarding process, any suggestions for improvement are due to be developed on an all-region basis. The aim of the second project is to discover a solution for knowledge transfer and propose it to the management team.
